A Beach is a Beach - right?
Well, not quite. Like many things, they seem similar on the surface
but once one gets below the surface they're all different. Consider
these different beaches we have used (and yes, most of them were
deserted):
- a beach in the far north where the top quad bike ride in the
country takes people up 300ft sand dunes. Remote and wild.
- a beach on a private island for a full-on Maori waka...

New Zealand Regions
Any analysis of this country's regions will be either academic or
subjective. This one is subjective and open to constant improvement.
Keeping abreast of everything wonderful and new which makes its
appearance is impossible. It's a particularly enjoyable part of our
job, but time - sadly - is not unlimited. Please also bear in mind
this is not a guidebook.
