Vehicles & Guides

When we started out, back in 2001, we were not satisfied with the level of vehicles available in New Zealand at that time.  We also thought the standard level of chauffeur/guides was fairly low with people either being excellent chauffeurs and poor guides or the reverse.  So we bought our own vehicles and hired our own chauffeur/guides.

We have now moved on and work with a variety of excellent chauffeurs, guides, and chauffeur/guides.  Some of these are profiled in our 'guides' section.

We have kept on one of our original vehicles - a 1997 Mercedes S Class sedan, long wheel base, in black, with toughened windows and bodywork.  We kept this on as quite frankly we have not see a vehicle on the market as good as this one for a guided tour of New Zealand.  Itineraries frequently see clients in a car for three hours a day - so comfort and safety should be taken very seriously.  This car is supremely comfortable and safe even at 11 years old.  We also selected it carefully when we bought it, imported it especially for our use and have maintined it well over the last 7 years.

Recently, we thought we should also add something newer to the fleet.  We have therefore added a current-model Range Rover in eco-sensible diesel.  This gives us some off-road capability and also excellent viewing from the higher seating positions. 

Apart from these vehicles, which we own, we also have access to anything on the market which we can rent.  This includes standard rental cars as well as classics, off-roaders, sports models, convertiables and offroaders.
