What game? What competition? When?

What game? What competition? When?

Please note that any resemblance to any international sporting competition, past, present or future is purely coincidental.  The fact that our CEO is alumni rep in New Zealand of Rugby School is fortuitous and we hope will not lead to any legal action against us - as we have nothing to do with RWC 2011, are not a sponsor, are not an accredited agent.  We are taking advice from our lawyers to see if we are allowed to operate machinery in Sept/Oct 2011.  If that gets the OK we'll take a big step and see if we can continue operating as a tourism business.

Having disclaimed everything I could possibly disclaim I can admit to the fact that we are handling Trevor Brennan Rugby Tours on the ground in New Zealand, have booked out Auckland's top lodge for the week of the finals and are handling a VVIP South African delegation.  We also ran what was described as their 'best event ever' for the All Blacks way back during the Lions Tour.

Accommodation prices are coming down from their lunatic bedbank-enforced highs, tickets are selling fast and people like us are being allowed to get on with our jobs of making tourists happy.  There are some unfortunate parallels with the America's Cup with "fly by nighters" crawling out of cracks in the flooring and 'who you know' becoming more important than subject matter expertise.  Lots of instant experts out there too.  And government departments reinventing the wheel without talking to people who do their job every day in a competitive environment - that's a dig at the department encouraging foreign high net worth investment - something we've been doing for ten years.

But it looks like it's shaping up at the moment despite many peoples best efforts at red tape and price gouging.  We still have private homes, professional guides, and lovely boutique luxury events available for people who understand quality.  We'll be happy to see you and help take the 'legalese' out of a certain competition.
