Tales From the WhatsApps: Summer 25/26
Every time an Ahipara client arrives in New Zealand, they do so with a WhatsApp group chat set up to connect them with our itinerary coordinator team, with a dedicated on-call team member every single day. Josephine has been spending some time on-call, along with our two full-time superheroes, Red and Hari.
While mostly it’s moving helicopters to that bluebird day, or providing dinner recommendations, the best part comes when someone has an incredible day that they simply must tell you about, take this:
“We had the absolute best day today! Thank you so much for organising it all! The bikes were so fun and we had a great view of Mount Cook! But the Helicopter experience was a real winner!! Mike was an amazing pilot and seeing Mt. Cook up close was incredible!! The whiskey bar was also so cool! We’ve never done anything like that before so thank you so much!”
Or this:
“He is truly a remarkably spiritual man. He the invited us to view the amazing totem he carved for Taupo. I am thoroughly absorbed by this man and hope to acquire one of his works to remind me of the time we spent with him.”
Or even something like this:
The real-time feedback of clients enjoying the trip of a lifetime is unbeatable, however the bittersweet departure messages as they reflect on the trip come close:
“Yes Hari we are on the plane and will take off shortly! Our NZ travels have been one of our best experiences ever….. and the Ahi Para Team is simply superb - We have loved working with you all. Outstanding professionals and the very best service and desire to make each day special, memorable and hassle free. I safely believe It doesn’t get better than you folks at Ahi Para. “We are very sad to be leaving this most beautiful of countries. My goodness what a spectacular itinerary we’ve been blessed with- and what a brilliant support team. Thank you to everyone- especially for the above and beyond efforts as we (embarrassingly) left belongings in different hotels and you miraculously got them back to us. Well done. What a wonderful job you do!!!”

On call support is a very rewarding role – but let’s not forget the days that look a little more like flight delays, missed connections, last minute changes, rental car mishaps, and even the odd tow truck:
Those are the days on which we earn the outstanding feedback we enjoy so much.
